Bazuka Extra Strength Gel - 5g

Bazuka Extra Strength Gel 5g is a topical treatment for stubborn warts, verrucas, corns and calluses. It contains a high-strength keratolytic agent that works by breaking down hardened skin, allowing the affected tissue to be gradually removed.

This extra strength formulation is designed for thickened or long-standing lesions that have not responded to milder treatments. On application, the gel dries to form a water-resistant protective film, helping the active ingredient stay in contact with the affected area.

Bazuka Extra Strength Gel is commonly used in pharmacy practice for:

• Verrucas (plantar warts)
• Common warts
• Corns and calluses

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as advised by a pharmacist.

Before application:

• Soak the affected area in warm water for 2–3 minutes
• Dry thoroughly

Application:

• Apply a small amount of gel directly to the wart, verruca, corn or callus
• Allow the gel to dry completely to form a film
• Apply once daily

Ongoing care:

• Once a week, gently remove the built-up film and any loose dead skin using a pumice stone or emery board (do not use on healthy skin)
• Continue treatment daily until the lesion has cleared

Treatment may take several weeks. If there is no improvement after 12 weeks, seek medical advice.

Active ingredient:

• Salicylic Acid 26% w/w

Other ingredients include:

• Pyroxylin
• Ethyl Alcohol
• Castor Oil

Do not use Bazuka Extra Strength Gel:

• On the face, neck, armpits, breasts, genitals or around the anus
• On broken, inflamed or infected skin
• If you have diabetes or poor circulation, unless advised by a doctor or podiatrist
• In children under 2 years of age
• If you are allergic to salicylic acid or any of the ingredients

Warnings & precautions:

• For external use only
• Avoid contact with healthy skin; protect surrounding skin if necessary
• Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water
• Do not use on moles, birthmarks or unusual skin growths

Possible side effects:

• Mild stinging, irritation or redness at the application site
• Excessive irritation may occur if applied to healthy skin

If severe irritation occurs, stop use and seek advice from a pharmacist or GP.

Store at room temperature and use before the expiry date shown on the packaging.
