Description
Benadryl Allergy Relief capsules are an antihistamine medicine for the relief of allergy symptoms caused by hay fever (allergic rhinitis) and other allergic conditions such as pet and dust allergies.
Each capsule contains acrivastine 8mg, which helps relieve:
- Sneezing
- Runny nose
- Itchy, watery eyes
- Skin allergy symptoms including urticaria (hives) with raised itchy wheals and surrounding redness

- Flexible dosing: can be taken as needed up to 3 times a day (max 3 capsules in 24 hours)

How to Use
Please read the enclosed leaflet before first use.
Dosage (oral use):
- Adults and children aged 12–65 years: Take 1 capsule up to 3 times a day, as required.
- Do not take more than 3 doses in 24 hours.
Not recommended:
- Children under 12 years
- Adults over 65 years
If symptoms persist or worsen: speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget a dose: take the next dose when needed (do not take a double dose; max 3 capsules in 24 hours).
If too many capsules are taken: seek urgent medical advice and take the pack/leaflet with you.
Ingredients
Active ingredient (per capsule): Acrivastine 8mg
Other ingredients: Lactose, Sodium Starch Glycollate, Magnesium Stearate, Gelatin, Colouring (E171), Purified Water.
Side Effects & Warnings
Do not take this medicine if:
- You have ever had a bad reaction to any ingredients or to the antihistamine triprolidine
- You have severe kidney disease
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if:
- You have kidney problems
- You are taking other medicines, especially sedatives/tranquillisers, ketoconazole, or erythromycin
- You are pregnant or breast-feeding
Important cautions:
- Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.
- May cause drowsiness and dizziness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol; do not take while under the influence of alcohol.
- Contains lactose (if you have been told you have intolerance to some sugars, seek advice before use).
Possible side effects (not everyone gets them):
- Very common: drowsiness
- Common: dry mouth, dizziness
- Stop taking and seek urgent medical help if you develop swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat causing difficulty swallowing or breathing.
Storage: Store below 30°C, keep dry and in original packaging. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
