Description
Blephaclean Sterile Eyelid Cleansing Wipes are sterile, single-use wipes impregnated with a gentle cleansing lotion for the daily hygiene of the eyelids and eyelashes. Designed for use on the skin around the eyes (not directly in the eye), they help keep lids clean and comfortable by removing crusts, secretions/discharge, dust, pollen and traces of make-up.
Blephaclean is commonly used as part of an eyelid-hygiene routine where lids are irritated or inflamed, including:
- Blepharitis (eyelid inflammation) and related lid margin issues (e.g., meibomian gland dysfunction)
- Styes or chalazion care routines
- When eyelids need gentle cleansing due to allergy, infection or discharge
- Before and after ophthalmic procedures when recommended by an eye care professional

How to Use
For use on eyelids/skin only. Do not put directly into the eyes.
Dosage (general recommendations)
- Before eye surgery: use twice daily for 5 days, or as your doctor/pharmacist tells you.
- Other cases: use twice daily (morning and evening) for 3 weeks, then once daily for 3 months or as advised. Some conditions are chronic and may need ongoing lid hygiene.
Step-by-step
- Remove contact lenses before using Blephaclean.
- Wash hands thoroughly before use.
- Tear the sachet open and unfold the wipe (do not use tools to open).
- Wrap the wipe around your index finger. With the eye closed, gently wipe the eyelids and the base of the eyelashes.
- Massage gently in small circular movements to remove crusts, secretions and make-up.
- Repeat on the other eye using a new wipe.
- No rinsing is required after use.
Ingredients
Sterile wipe impregnated with a lotion containing:
- capryloyl glycine,
- sodium hyaluronate,
- PEG-8,
- poloxamer 184,
- polysorbate 20,
- propylene glycol,
- hydrocotyl extract (propylene glycol, centella asiatica extract and water),
- PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides,
- dipotassium phosphate,
- potassium dihydrogen phosphate,
- purified water,
plus a sebum-regulating complex (includes iris florentina root extract and zinc sulphate; with alcohol and pH adjusters).
Side Effects & Warnings
Do not use
- If you are allergic to any ingredient.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use unless advised by your doctor (due to limited data).
Warnings
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Avoid getting Blephaclean into the eyes. If it happens, you may feel a burning sensation; rinse with sterile water or saline solution.
- Use only if the sachet is intact before first use.
- Single use only: do not use the same wipe more than once (may be less effective and can cause contamination).
- Contact lens wearers: remove lenses before use. If you experience ocular redness, do not put lenses back in and seek advice.

Storage
- Store between 8°C and 25°C. Do not expose to direct sunlight or humidity.
- Use the wipe immediately after opening the sachet and dispose after use.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton/sachet.
