Product Overview
Blistex Cold Sore Cream 2g is a targeted antiviral treatment with 10% docosanol to help stop recurrent cold sores early, aiding faster recovery of cold sore symptoms such as redness, itching, tingling, and pain.
Description
Blistex Cold Sore Cream 2g is a clinically proven antiviral topical cream designed to help relieve the early stages of recurrent cold sores (labial herpes simplex infection) when used at the first sign of symptoms such as tingling, itching, redness or pain. It contains docosanol 10% w/w, a unique antiviral agent that penetrates the skin to help block the cold sore virus from entering healthy cells, supporting the inhibition of viral replication and promoting recovery.
To be effective, treatment should begin as soon as the first symptoms appear and continue through the early stages of cold sore development. Blistex Cold Sore Cream can help limit the severity and duration of cold sore outbreaks when applied promptly and correctly.

How to Use
Adults and adolescents (12 years and over): Begin treatment at the first sign of cold sore symptoms, such as itching, tingling, redness or burning.
• Wash your hands before and after application to avoid spreading the virus.
• Apply a thin layer of Blistex Cold Sore Cream to the affected area using a clean fingertip or cotton bud.
• Repeat up to 5 times daily at approximately 3-hour intervals while awake.
• Continue treatment until the cold sore has healed, usually within 4–6 days, up to a maximum of 10 days.
• Do not start treatment once a blister or ulcer has already formed; the cream is most effective before blisters are visible.
