Description
Calpol Sixplus Fastmelts are a paracetamol-based medicine designed to provide effective relief from pain and fever in children aged 6 to 12 years. Each fast-dissolving tablet melts quickly on the tongue, making it ideal for children who have difficulty swallowing tablets or when water is not readily available.
Calpol Sixplus Fastmelts help to relieve:
- Headache
- Toothache
- Sore throat
- Earache
- Fever (high temperature)
- Aches and pains associated with colds and flu
The formulation is gentle on the stomach, sugar-free, and has a pleasant strawberry flavour, supporting easier administration and improved compliance.

How to Use
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as advised by a pharmacist or GP.
Dosage:
- Children aged 6–9 years:
- One fastmelt tablet, up to 4 times in 24 hours
- Children aged 10–12 years:
- One to two fastmelt tablets, up to 4 times in 24 hours
Administration:
- Place the fastmelt on the tongue and allow it to dissolve
- Water is not required
Important dosing advice:
- Leave at least 4 hours between doses
- Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours
- Do not use for more than 3 days without medical advice
Ingredients
Active ingredient:
- Paracetamol 250mg per fastmelt tablet
Other ingredients include:
- Mannitol
- Aspartame (contains a source of phenylalanine)
- Crospovidone
- Strawberry flavouring
- Magnesium stearate

Side Effects & Warnings
Important warnings:
- Do not give with any other paracetamol-containing products
- Giving more than the recommended dose may cause serious liver damage
Do not use:
- In children under 6 years
- If your child is allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients
Warnings & precautions:
- Consult a pharmacist or GP before use if your child has liver or kidney problems
- Contains aspartame – not suitable for children with phenylketonuria (PKU)
- If symptoms persist, worsen, or fever lasts more than 3 days, seek medical advice
Possible side effects (rare):
- Skin rash or allergic reactions
- Blood disorders (very rare)

- Keep out of the sight and reach of children
- Store below 25°C
- Use before the expiry date shown on the packaging
