Canespro Fungal Nail Treatment Set is a two-stage topical treatment system designed to manage fungal nail infections (onychomycosis). It works by softening and removing the infected part of the nail, allowing subsequent antifungal treatment to act more effectively.

The set contains a high-strength urea ointment used to soften the infected nail, along with accessories to support safe removal of the affected nail material. By reducing the fungal load within the nail, Canespro helps prepare the nail bed for follow-up antifungal therapy, typically with a topical antifungal cream as advised.

Canespro is commonly recommended in pharmacy practice for:

Stage 1 – Nail softening and removal (usually 7–14 days):

• Apply the urea ointment to the affected nail once daily
• Cover with the plaster provided
• Remove the plaster after 24 hours and soak the nail in warm water
• Gently remove softened nail material using the scraper provided

Repeat daily until the infected part of the nail has been removed.

Stage 2 – Antifungal treatment:

• After nail removal, continue treatment with a suitable antifungal cream (as advised) to prevent reinfection

Important usage advice:

• Apply only to the affected nail
• Avoid contact with surrounding skin
• Follow all instructions carefully to minimise irritation
• Treatment may take several weeks to months in total, including regrowth time
