Care Simple Linctus Paediatric – 200 ml is a non-medicated cough linctus formulated to help relieve dry, tickly and irritating coughs in children. It works by coating and soothing the throat, helping to reduce the urge to cough and providing gentle comfort during periods of throat irritation.

This product does not suppress coughing through active drug action. Instead, its demulcent (soothing) properties help calm throat irritation, making it suitable where cough is non-productive and caused by dryness or minor irritation, such as during colds.

Care Simple Linctus Paediatric is often recommended as a first-line option for children with mild cough symptoms and can be used as part of short-term self-care under adult supervision.

Children aged 1–5 years:

• Give 2.5–5 ml, 3–4 times daily.

Children aged 6–12 years:

• Give 5–10 ml, 3–4 times daily.

Administration guidance (UK pharmacy aligned):

• Use the measuring spoon or oral syringe provided for accurate dosing.
• The doses may be given undiluted.
• Allow at least 3–4 hours between doses.
• Do not exceed the stated dose.

Important advice:
