Product Overview
Pack of 100 GlucoRx CarePoint 31g 4 mm sterile pen needles for precise, low-discomfort insulin and GLP-1 injectable therapy with compatible pen devices. Sterile, single use.
Description
GlucoRx CarePoint Pen Needles – 31g 4 mm (100 Pack) are sterile, single-use pen needles engineered for comfortable subcutaneous insulin delivery and other injectable medications. These needles feature a fine 31 gauge (≈ 0.25 mm) diameter with an ultra-short 4 mm length, making them suitable for adults and children alike and helping to minimise the risk of inadvertent intramuscular injections.
The CarePoint range uses a precision 3-bevel needle tip and electropolished, high-grade siliconised finish to reduce friction and tissue resistance, offering a smoother, gentler injection experience. Their universal fit makes them compatible with virtually all major insulin pens — including pens from Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, Becton Dickinson, Owen Mumford and others — as well as many GLP-1 analogue pens (e.g., Mounjaro®, Wegovy®).
Brand: GlucoRx CarePoint
Pack Size: 100 sterile pen needles
Needle Gauge / Length: 31g / 4 mm — suitable for reliable, consistent subcutaneous delivery
Intended Use: Insulin and compatible injectable therapy pen devices for diabetes management and other injectable treatments
How to Use
- Preparation: Wash and dry hands thoroughly. Ensure the insulin or injectable pen and medication cartridge are correct and in date.
- Attach Needle: Remove the protective cap from the pen. Attach a new GlucoRx CarePoint 31g 4 mm pen needle securely to the pen tip.
- Prime Device: With the needle attached, prime your pen by selecting a small test dose per the pen manufacturer’s instructions. Confirm liquid appears at the needle tip.
- Select Dose: Set your prescribed dose using the pen’s dosing mechanism.
- Inject: Choose an approved injection site (abdomen, thigh, upper arm or buttocks). Insert the needle into the skin at the recommended angle and press the dose button firmly.
- Hold & Release: Keep the needle in place for about 10 seconds after delivering the dose to ensure all medication enters subcutaneously.
- Dispose: Remove the needle from the pen and dispose of it immediately into a designated sharps bin in line with UK clinical waste guidance. Do not reuse or recap the used needle.
Important: Always follow the instructions provided with your specific insulin or injectable pen and consult a healthcare professional if you are unsure about dosing or injection technique.
Ingredients
As a medical device accessory, GlucoRx CarePoint 31g 4 mm Pen Needles do not contain pharmaceutical ingredients. Their construction is optimised for sterile, safe injection:
• Sterile stainless-steel needle (31g) — fine bore for reduced discomfort.
• Triple-bevel tip — precision-sharpened to facilitate smooth penetration.
• Electropolished surface with high-grade siliconisation — decreases friction during injection and enhances glide.
• Medical-grade plastic hub & protective cap — maintains sterility until use and provides secure fitting to pen devices.
These materials are chosen for biocompatibility and performance to support accurate and comfortable injections when used with compatible pen devices.
Side Effects & Warnings
Warnings & Precautions
• Single-Use Only: These pen needles are sterile and for one-time use only. Reuse increases infection risk, dulls the needle, and can impair medication delivery.
• For Subcutaneous Use: Intended for subcutaneous injection of insulin or prescribed injectable therapies. Do not use for intravenous or intramuscular injection unless specifically advised.
• Safe disposal: Place used needles immediately into a designated sharps bin and never dispose of them in household waste. Recapping used needles by hand is not recommended due to injury risk.
• Keep Out of Reach: Store unused and used needles out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental injury.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not use after the printed expiry date on the packaging.
Possible Local Effects
• Mild discomfort: Some users may experience mild pain or a tingling sensation at the injection site — common with subcutaneous injections.
• Local irritation: Slight redness, minor bleeding or bruising can occur but is typically short-lived with proper technique.
• Signs of infection: If persistent warmth, increasing pain, swelling or discharge occurs at the injection site, discontinue use and seek advice from a pharmacist or healthcare professional.
