Description
Cow & Gate Sterilised Water is ready-to-use, sterile, demineralised water supplied in convenient single-use bottles, designed to support hygienic preparation of infant feeds when you are away from home, travelling, or where boiling and cooling water is not practical.
Commonly supplied as 24 x 90ml bottles, it’s widely used in clinical and home settings for infant feeding support.

How to Use
Before you start
- Wash hands thoroughly.
- Use clean, sterilised feeding equipment where required for your baby’s age and circumstances.
Directions
- Check the bottle seal is intact and the water looks clear. Do not use if the bottle is damaged, leaking, or appears contaminated.
- Open immediately before use.
- Use the water as directed for infant feed preparation (for example, mixing with infant formula) in line with the formula manufacturer’s instructions and local clinical guidance.
- Once opened, use immediately and discard any unused water.
Special situations
- If preparing feeds for premature, low birthweight, or medically vulnerable infants, use under medical supervision and follow neonatal/clinical guidance.
Storage: Store unopened bottles in a cool, dry place away from direct heat/sunlight. Follow any additional storage directions shown on the outer carton.

Warnings
- For oral use only.
- Single-use bottle: once opened use immediately and discard any leftover water to reduce contamination risk.

- If your baby becomes unwell after feeding (for example, persistent vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, poor feeding, or signs of dehydration), seek medical advice promptly.

Sterilised water itself is not expected to cause side effects when used appropriately. Most concerns relate to hygiene and incorrect feed preparation. Always prepare feeds according to the infant formula manufacturer’s instructions and discard opened/unused water as above.
