Daktarin Aktiv Cream gives you a broad spectrum antifungal cream that can be used for symptomatic treatment of athlete’s foot.
Description
Canesten® Daktarin® Aktiv Cream 30g is an effective antifungal cream used to treat fungal skin infections while also helping to relieve associated symptoms such as itching, redness, soreness and inflammation.
The cream contains miconazole nitrate, a clinically proven antifungal medicine that works by stopping the growth of the fungi responsible for infection. It is effective against a wide range of common fungal skin conditions, including athlete’s foot, ringworm, sweat rash and fungal infections in skin folds or the groin area.
The smooth, non-greasy cream is easy to apply and suitable for everyday use as part of a complete fungal infection treatment plan.

How to Use
- Wash and thoroughly dry the affected area before application.
- Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin and surrounding area.
- Use twice daily, morning and evening, unless otherwise advised.
Treatment duration depends on the infection:
- Athlete’s foot: 2–6 weeks
- Ringworm or other fungal skin infections: 2–4 weeks
Continue treatment for at least 7 days after symptoms have cleared to help prevent recurrence.
- If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a pharmacist or GP.

Side Effects & Warnings
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with eyes and open wounds.
- Do not use if you are allergic to miconazole nitrate or any of the other ingredients.
- Discontinue use if severe irritation, redness or an allergic reaction occurs.
Possible side effects may include mild burning, stinging, itching or redness at the site of application. These effects are usually mild and temporary.
If there is no improvement after the recommended treatment period, or if the infection keeps returning, seek medical advice.
