Doublebase Emollient Wash Gel – 200g is a gentle, soap-free cleansing gel designed as a soap substitute for people with dry, sensitive or problem skin. Unlike ordinary soaps and shower gels that can strip the skin of moisture, this wash gel helps to cleanse, soften, moisturise and protect the skin by locking in moisture and restoring the normal protective function of the skin.

It is specifically formulated to be non-foaming and fragrance-free, making it suitable for those with dry, itchy, red or sore skin associated with conditions such as:

• Eczema and dermatitis
• Psoriasis
• Ichthyosis
• Elderly pruritus
• Occupational dryness from frequent washing

Doublebase Emollient Wash Gel is suitable for all ages, including babies, adults and the elderly, and can be used as part of your normal washing routine to help prevent the irritant effects of traditional soaps. 

Directions for use:

• Use instead of ordinary soap, bar wash or cleanser during your regular washing routine.
• Apply the gel to wet or dry skin using a gentle washing action – the product will not foam or lather.
• Rinse thoroughly; the gel will leave a protective moisturising layer on your skin.
• Pat dry gently with a soft towel (avoid vigorous rubbing to prevent irritation).

Pharmacy compliance guidance:

• Suitable for daily use, including hand washing and full body washing in the shower or bath.
• Ideal for use alongside other prescribed emollients or topical treatments when advised by a healthcare professional.
• If using with other treatments, allow time for each product to absorb. 

Active Emollient Ingredients:

• Isopropyl Myristate 15% w/w – helps soften and moisturise very dry skin
• Liquid Paraffin 15% w/w – occlusive emollient that traps moisture

Other Ingredients:

• Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether (Cetomacrogol)
• Glycerol (Glycerin) – humectant that helps retain skin moisture
• Carbomer – thickener
• Sorbitan Laurate – emulsifier
• Trolamine – pH adjuster
• Phenoxyethanol – preservative
• Purified Water

This formulation is fragrance-free, soap-free and suitable for sensitive skin. 

Warnings & Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Turn the pump top anti-clockwise to unlock before first use and prime as required.

Doublebase Emollient Wash Gel is generally well tolerated. In rare cases:

• Mild skin irritation or allergic skin reactions (e.g., rash) may occur, especially on extremely sensitive skin.
