Doublebase Once Emollient Gel 500 g is an advanced, highly moisturising and protective emollient designed to provide up to 24 hours of skin hydration from one application, helping reduce the need for frequent re-application throughout the day. It’s formulated to soften, moisturise and protect dry or very dry skin by trapping water in the skin and supporting the restoration of the skin’s natural protective barrier.

This emollient gel is suitable for use on adults, children and infants, and is commonly used for managing dry skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis and ichthyosis. Its long-lasting action helps maintain skin comfort, and it can also be used as a soap substitute during washing to minimise dehydration and irritation caused by ordinary soaps and foaming cleansers.

Usage Instructions (Pharmacy-aligned):

• For external use only on the skin.

• Before first use, unlock the pump by turning the top in the direction of the arrow and prime the pump until gel is dispensed.

• Gently smooth Doublebase Once Emollient Gel over and around all dry skin areas once daily or as often as needed.

• Use gentle strokes in the direction of hair growth and allow time for the gel to absorb — do not rub vigorously.

• To use as a soap substitute, apply the gel to wet skin in place of soap during bathing.

• If applying alongside other medicinal or moisturising products, apply them separately with sufficient time to allow each to be absorbed.

• Ideal for daily skincare routines and after bathing or handwashing.

• Avoid direct contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly if this occurs.

Doublebase Once Emollient Gel contains a combination of emollient oils, humectants and skin-protective agents that help moisturise, soften and protect dry skin, including:

• Isopropyl Myristate – emollient that helps soften skin.

• Liquid Paraffin – occlusive agent that prevents moisture loss.

• Glycerol – a humectant that attracts water into the skin.

• Steareth-21 & Macrogol Stearyl Ether – skin conditioners and soap substitute.

• Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol & 1,2-Hexanediol – conditioning and preservation system.

• Povidone, Trolamine & Carbomer – texture and stabilising agents.

• Purified Water – base of the gel formula.

Free from: fragrances, parabens, SLS and steroids — making it suitable for sensitive or problem-prone skin.

Warnings & Precautions:

• For external skin use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if product enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

• Flammable: liquid paraffin in the formulation can make clothing, bedding and dressings more flammable. Keep away from naked flames, smoking and sources of heat. Washing may reduce build-up but not remove it completely.

• If you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, do not use this product.

• Discontinue use and consult a clinician or pharmacist if your skin condition worsens, does not improve, or if irritation occurs.

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Rarely, some individuals may experience mild skin irritation such as redness or itching. If this occurs, stop use and seek professional advice.
