EPIMAX says it is suitable for the whole family, including children over the age of one month.

The formula is SLS-free, perfume-free and gluten-free. One retailer also describes the 500g product as paraben-free and vegan, but this does not match the ingredient list published by EPIMAX, which includes methyl hydroxybenzoate and propyl hydroxybenzoate. I would therefore avoid claiming “paraben-free” or “vegan” for this product unless you have direct supplier confirmation.

Apply EPIMAX Moisturising Cream to the skin as frequently as required, smoothing gently into the affected areas in the direction of hair growth. If necessary, allow time for any excess to soak in. EPIMAX patient information states that adults, elderly people and children may use it as required to manage symptoms. Wash hands after use, unless treating the hands themselves.

For routine moisturising, apply regularly to dry or affected skin areas and reapply as often as needed, especially after washing. Smooth gently onto the skin rather than rubbing vigorously, particularly on sore or irritated areas.

As a body wash, use as required when washing or in the shower. This can help avoid the drying effect of ordinary soap on skin that is prone to dryness or irritation. After washing, pat skin dry gently and reapply if needed to help maintain moisture.

Free from:

Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), perfume and gluten. 

Do not use EPIMAX Moisturising Cream if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. EPIMAX patient information identifies lanolin, cetostearyl alcohol and hydroxybenzoates as known sensitising ingredients in this product.

Rarely, mild skin reactions such as rash can occur. Allergic reactions are also possible. Stop use and seek advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional if irritation, worsening skin symptoms or signs of allergy develop.

Important fire warning:

This product contains paraffin-based ingredients. Do not smoke or go near naked flames. Clothing, bedding, dressings and other fabrics that have been in contact with this product can catch fire more easily and are a serious fire hazard.

Storage:

Store below 25°C. Do not freeze. EPIMAX states a shelf life of 36 months for the 500g tottle and advises using the product within 3 months of opening.
