Description
EvoTears are sterile, water-free eye drops that are preservative-free and phosphate-free. They are used for lubrication of dry, irritated eyes and stabilisation of the tear film to relieve symptoms associated with Dry Eye.
Because the drops are water-free, they do not need preservatives, making them suitable for people who prefer preservative-free eye lubrication.
Pack size: 3ml.
How to Use
Always use as directed on the pack/leaflet, or as advised by your doctor, optometrist or pharmacist.
Dose (unless otherwise instructed):
- Use 4 times daily by instilling 1 drop inside the lower eyelid. If necessary, EvoTears can be used daily.
If using other eye medicines:
- Leave at least 30 minutes after applying other eye drops before using EvoTears.
- EvoTears should always be used last.
Application steps (key points):
- Wash hands before use.
- Avoid touching the dropper tip.
- Follow the leaflet’s bottle-priming method (different to conventional drops): gently squeeze with the tip up, then turn down and release pressure before instilling the drop.
- After instilling, close your eyes to help even distribution.
After opening:
- Can be used for 6 months after first opening (write the opening date on the outer packaging).
Ingredients
Composition:
- Perfluorohexyloctane (EyeSol®) only (single-ingredient formula).
Free from: water, preservatives, phosphates.
Side Effects & Warnings
Do not use if:
- You are hypersensitive/allergic to perfluorohexyloctane.
- The bottle or original seal is damaged, or the product is past its expiry date.
Contact lenses:
- Use with contact lenses is not advised due to lack of compatibility data with lens materials.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, children:
- Not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women or children due to lack of safety data.
Possible side effects:
- Transient eye irritation such as burning, itching or redness after application has been reported. If irritation is long-lasting, stop use and seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist (this may indicate an allergic reaction).
When to seek medical advice:
- If symptoms worsen or do not improve, contact a doctor immediately.
Storage & safety:
- Do not store above 25°C.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- For eye use only: do not drink the liquid.
