Fybogel contains the active ingredient, Ispaghula Husk, which helps bulk-forming in the gut in order to help ease constipation.
Description
Fybogel® Original Sachet Drinks is a gentle bulk-forming fibre laxative used to relieve constipation and help maintain regular, healthy bowel movements.
Each sachet contains ispaghula husk, a natural soluble fibre that absorbs water in the bowel, increasing stool bulk and softening stools to make them easier to pass. Fybogel® works with the body’s natural processes and is suitable for people who should avoid stimulant laxatives.
This 60-sachet pack is ideal for longer-term fibre supplementation or ongoing management of constipation, including where stools are hard, dry or difficult to pass.

How to Use
- Empty one sachet into a glass.
- Add at least 150ml of cold water.
- Stir well and drink immediately.
- Follow with another glass of water if required.
Dosage (unless otherwise advised):
- Adults and children over 12 years: 1 sachet morning and evening
- Children 6–12 years: ½–1 sachet once daily
Do not take immediately before bedtime. Ensure adequate fluid intake throughout the day.
If symptoms persist after several days, seek advice from a pharmacist or GP.

Side Effects & Warnings
- For oral use only.
- Always take with plenty of water to reduce the risk of choking or bowel blockage.
- Do not use if you have difficulty swallowing, bowel obstruction, faecal impaction, or severe abdominal pain of unknown cause.
- Not suitable for children under 6 years unless advised by a healthcare professional.
Possible side effects may include mild bloating or wind, particularly when starting treatment. These effects usually improve with continued use.

If constipation is persistent, worsening, or associated with unexplained weight loss, rectal bleeding or severe abdominal pain, seek medical advice promptly.
