Jelonet Paraffin Gauze 10 cm x 10 cm - 10 Dressings

Jelonet Paraffin Gauze Dressings (10cm x 10cm, pack of 10) are sterile, non-medicated paraffin tulle gras dressings made from open-weave gauze coated with soft paraffin. They are designed to soothe and protect the wound while acting as a primary wound contact layer placed between the wound and a secondary dressing.

The open-weave structure helps wound fluid (exudate) drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing (for example, an absorbent pad), helping maintain a suitable environment for healing while reducing the risk of the dressing sticking to the wound surface.

Suitable for (as part of appropriate wound care):

• Minor burns and scalds
• Donor and recipient skin graft sites
• Skin loss wounds, lacerations and abrasions
• Chronic wounds such as leg ulcers or pressure ulcers (where clinically appropriate)

For external use only. Use with a suitable secondary dressing.

1. Cleanse the wound according to local clinical guidance (clean water/saline as appropriate).
2. Select the correct size and open the sterile pouch. Do not use if the pouch is damaged.
3. Using clean hands (ideally gloves) and, if needed, forceps, remove any protector papers and place Jelonet in a single layer directly onto the wound surface.
4. Apply an absorbent secondary dressing over the top and secure with bandage/tape as appropriate.
5. Dressing changes: Jelonet may be left in place while it remains moist; change frequency depends on the wound and exudate. Remove if it starts to dry out.
6. If it sticks: soak off gently with sterile saline. Ensure all dressing material is removed from the wound.

Seek medical advice urgently for serious burns, deep/large wounds, infected wounds, or if symptoms worsen (spreading redness, increasing pain, swelling, pus, fever).

• Single use only. Do not re-use. Opening the pouch compromises sterility; discard any unused dressing.
• Avoid contact with eyes (may cause irritation).
• Fire hazard: Paraffin-based dressings can increase flammability of clothing/bedding once impregnated/dried. Keep away from naked flames and do not smoke during use.
• Stop use and seek advice if you develop significant irritation, rash, or worsening discomfort.
• Seek urgent advice if there are signs of infection (increasing pain, heat, swelling, spreading redness, discharge/pus, fever).

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep pouches sealed until needed.
