Description
Ocufresh Hypromellose 0.3% Eye Drops are sterile, preservative-free lubricating drops designed to soothe and moisturise dry, irritated eyes. The formula contains hypromellose (HPMC), a viscous polymer with wetting properties that helps stabilise the tear film by forming a protective, transparent layer over the surface of the eye, reducing discomfort and supporting long-lasting comfort.
Indications
For relief of dry eye symptoms such as:
- Burning, itching and “gritty/foreign body” sensation
- Dryness linked to screens/PC use, infrequent blinking, certain medical treatments, pollution, and drying environments (air conditioning, wind, sun)
- Ophthalmic stress associated with contact lens use
Pack size: 10ml multi-dose bottle (preservative-free closure system).
How to Use
Always use as directed on the pack/leaflet. For use in the eyes only.
Step-by-step
- Tear off the tamper-evident seal before first use.
- Remove the protective cap and open the bottle.
- Instil 1–2 drops into each eye, gently pressing the bottle.
- Replace the cap after use. Avoid touching the applicator tip.
How often
- Suitable for frequent use. Unless your doctor advises otherwise, use several times a day (3–4 times or more often if required) for symptom relief.
After opening
- Close the bottle after use. Use the contents within 3 months of first opening.
Contact lenses
- Remove contact lenses before using this product.
- The product is stated to be compatible with contact lenses (preservative-free).
Ingredients
Composition:
- Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (Hypromellose / HPMC)
- Sodium phosphate monobasic monohydrate
- Sodium phosphate dibasic dodecahydrate
- Sodium chloride
- Water for injections
Preservatives: None (preservative-free).
Side Effects & Warnings
Do not use if:
- You are allergic/intolerant to any ingredient.
- The container is damaged or not properly sealed on first opening.
Important warnings (pharmacy/SOP style):
- For ocular use only. Do not swallow.
- Use only by the intended person (do not share).
- Do not touch your eye or any surface with the dropper tip (helps reduce contamination risk).
- If using with other eye medicines, use under medical supervision and leave at least 15 minutes between products.
- Not indicated for eye infections or other ocular diseases. These require medical assessment.
- Pregnant/breastfeeding people and anyone who has recently had eye surgery should seek medical advice before use.
- Intended for continuous use no more than 30 days unless your doctor advises otherwise; consult a doctor if symptoms persist.
Possible side effects:
- Temporary blurred vision after use
- Temporary mild burning/stinging/irritation
- If effects persist or worsen, stop using and seek medical advice.
Storage:
- Do not store above 30°C.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Use within 3 months of opening.
