MAM Teat Size 2 Medium Flow - 2 Pack

MAM Teat 2 Medium Flow (2 Pack) is designed for babies from around 2+ months, when sucking and swallowing are more developed. The balanced medium flow supports comfortable feeding with formula or expressed breast milk, and the SkinSoft™ silicone surface is made to feel familiar.

The teat has a symmetric shape so it sits correctly in your baby’s mouth whichever way it’s placed, and an air valve helps prevent the teat from collapsing for a more even drinking flow.

Cleaning and sterilising (important for hygiene)

• Before first use: Clean the teat and place in boiling water for 5 minutes.
• Before each use: Clean in warm soapy water, then rinse well before sterilising. Avoid soaps containing alcohol, chlorine and/or microplastics.
• Sterilise after cleaning using one of the following methods:
• Steam steriliser (electric or microwave) following the steriliser instructions
• Boiling in water for at least 10 minutes
• Approved liquid sterilising solution (follow the solution instructions)

Fitting and use

1. Wash hands and ensure the bottle components are clean and sterilised.
2. Fit the teat securely into the bottle ring/collar as intended for your MAM bottle.
3. Prepare the feed according to the formula manufacturer’s instructions (if using formula).
4. Check the temperature of the feed before offering it to your baby.

Replacement

• For safety and hygiene, MAM advises teats should be replaced regularly (about every 1–2 months), or sooner if damaged.

• Always use with adult supervision.
• Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids may cause tooth decay.
• Always check food temperature before feeding.
• Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness.
• Keep components not in use out of reach of children.
• Never attach to cords, ribbons, laces or loose clothing (strangulation risk).
• Never use feeding teats as a soother.

Handling and sterilising precautions

• Do not leave the teat in sterilising solution longer than recommended, and do not leave in direct sunlight or heat, as this may weaken the teat and affect performance.
• Ensure no residual feed remains after cleaning and sterilising.

Side effects

The teat itself is not expected to cause side effects when used as directed. If your baby shows signs that could indicate an allergy or intolerance to the feed (such as rash, swelling, wheeze, repeated vomiting, or breathing difficulty), stop feeding and seek urgent medical advice.
