Description
Mepilex® Border Comfort 15 × 15 cm (REF 596411) is a self-adherent, absorbent bordered foam dressing designed for the management of exuding wounds. It features Safetac® soft silicone technology, which helps minimise pain and trauma to the wound and surrounding skin during dressing changes.
The dressing maintains a moist wound environment while its waterproof outer layer helps protect the wound from external contaminants such as dirt and bacteria. Its flexible construction allows it to conform to challenging anatomical areas and remain securely in place.
It is suitable for a wide range of exuding wounds, including pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, traumatic wounds such as skin tears, and surgical wounds. It may also be used with gels for dry or necrotic wounds and can be used under compression bandaging.

How to Use
Select the appropriate dressing size. The wound pad should overlap the surrounding dry skin by at least 1–2 cm.
Cleanse the wound according to normal clinical practice and thoroughly dry the surrounding skin.
Remove the first protective release film and place the adhesive side onto the wound.
Remove the remaining release liners and gently smooth the dressing border onto the skin.
Do not stretch the dressing when applying it.
The dressing can generally remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on the wound and surrounding skin condition, or according to clinical advice.
Replace the dressing sooner if clinically indicated, such as when required by the wound condition or surrounding skin.
