Mepilex Border Comfort Lite 5 x 12cm is a thin, self-adherent bordered foam dressing designed to support management of a wide range of non- to low-exuding wounds. The dressing helps maintain a moist wound environment, while the waterproof outer film helps protect the wound from dirt and bacteria during day-to-day activities.

It features Safetac® soft silicone technology, designed to adhere gently to surrounding skin (not the moist wound bed) to help reduce pain and minimise trauma to the wound and periwound skin during dressing changes.

Suitable for (when clinically appropriate):

• Non- to low-exuding acute and chronic wounds, including ulcers, surgical wounds, abrasions/skin tears and other traumatic wounds 

Use on clean, dry skin. Follow local wound-care guidance or advice from a healthcare professional.

1. Cleanse the wound in accordance with normal procedures and dry surrounding skin thoroughly.
2. Choose a dressing size where the wound pad overlaps the wound and the border adheres to intact skin around it.
3. Remove from the pack and peel off the release films.
4. Apply the adherent side to the wound and surrounding skin. Do not stretch the dressing. Smooth down the border for a secure seal.
5. The dressing may be left in place for several days depending on the condition of the wound and surrounding skin, or as directed. Replace earlier if it becomes loose, leaks, or is clinically indicated.
6. To remove, lift an edge and peel back slowly, supporting the skin if needed.

• Soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac®)
• Absorbent foam and retention/spreading layers (designed to manage wound fluid)
• Waterproof film backing

For external use only.

Do not use if the sterile pack is damaged/opened or if the dressing is past its expiry date.

Stop use and seek advice if you develop skin irritation, rash, blistering, or suspected allergy.

Seek medical advice urgently if the wound shows signs of infection or deterioration: increasing pain, heat, swelling, spreading redness, discharge/pus, fever, or odour.

If you have diabetes, poor circulation, an ulcer, a deep/large wound, or a wound not improving, seek clinical advice before continuing self-care.
