Abidec Multivitamin Drops for Children and Babies - 25ml

Abidec Multivitamin Drops are a multivitamin medicine used to help prevent vitamin deficiencies in babies and children up to 12 years. It contains seven essential vitamins that support normal growth and health during infancy and childhood. Not designed for adults.

Vitamins included: Vitamin A, Vitamin D2, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Nicotinamide (B3) and Vitamin C.

Each pack contains a 25ml bottle supplied with an oral dosing syringe to help measure the correct daily dose. 

Always use as directed in the leaflet or as advised by a pharmacist/doctor.

Dose: once daily, by mouth, using the syringe provided (place drops on the back of the tongue):

• Children under 1 year: 0.3ml once daily (higher mark on syringe)
• Children 1–12 years: 0.6ml once daily (lower mark on syringe)

After use: wash and dry the syringe thoroughly (do not use a steam steriliser). When completely dry, use the syringe to seal the bottle again.

Missed dose: give it as soon as you remember unless it’s nearly time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose.

Active ingredients (per 0.6ml dose):

Retinol (as Vitamin A palmitate) 1333 IU; Ergocalciferol (Vitamin D2) 400 IU; Thiamine hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) 0.4mg; Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 0.8mg; Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 0.8mg; Nicotinamide 8mg; Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 40mg.

Other ingredients: Sodium hydroxide, sugar (sucrose), polysorbate 60, nitrogen (oxygen free), refined peanut oil (arachis oil), water.

Do not use if:

• Your child is allergic to peanut or soya (contains arachis/peanut oil).
• Your child is taking other vitamin supplements at the same time.
• Your baby is receiving more than 500ml of formula milk per day (to avoid exceeding the safe upper limit of Vitamin A).
• Your child is allergic to any ingredient listed.

Possible side effects:

• Peanut oil may cause an allergic reaction (e.g., itching or swelling of tongue/eyes/lips/hands). Stop use and seek urgent medical help if allergic symptoms occur.
• If your child feels unwell or you notice unusual symptoms, seek medical advice.

Dental/sugar warning: Contains sucrose, which may be harmful to teeth, so place the dose at the back of the tongue as directed. If your child has been told they have an intolerance to some sugars, speak to a healthcare professional before use.

Storage: Store below 25°C, keep bottle upright in the original carton and out of direct sunlight. Use within 4 weeks of opening. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
