Nexium Control 20mg - Pack of 14 Tablets

Nexium Control 20 mg – Pack of 14 is a gastro-resistant OTC medicine indicated for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults aged 18 years and older. It contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces. This mechanism helps provide long-lasting relief for up to 24 hours after each dose, unlike antacids which treat only the symptoms.

Nexium Control is commonly used when heartburn occurs frequently (e.g., more than once per week), offering sustained relief when taken once daily over a short course of up to 14 days.

Adults aged 18 years and over only:

• Take one tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day.
• The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.

Important UK pharmacy guidance:

• You may need to take Nexium Control for 2–3 days before the full effect is felt.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose of one tablet per day.
• Treatment duration: up to 14 days. If symptoms persist or worsen after 14 days of continuous use, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• If symptoms return after completing a course, seek professional advice before repeating treatment.

Active Ingredient (per tablet):

• Glycerol monostearate, hypromellose, hydroxypropylcellulose – coating and binder agents.

• Methacrylic acid ethylacrylate copolymer (enteric coat), titanium dioxide (E171) – gastro-resistant coating.
• Iron oxides (E172), macrogol 6000, crospovidone, sodium stearyl fumarate – tablet formulation agents.

Flavour/Appearance: Light pink, oval film-coated tablet engraved with “20 mG” and “A/EH”

Possible Side Effects

Like all medicines, Nexium Control can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Common or occasional effects may include:

• Headache
• Abdominal pain, flatulence, nausea or diarrhoea
• Dizziness
• Constipation or vomiting
