Nexium Control 20 mg – Pack of 7 is an over-the-counter proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medicine intended for the short-term treatment of frequent heartburn and acid reflux symptoms in adults aged 18 years and over. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 20 mg esomeprazole, which acts by reducing the production of stomach acid at its source rather than just neutralising existing acid, helping to control burning sensations in the chest and discomfort from acid regurgitation.

Unlike antacids and alginates that provide shorter-acting symptom control, Nexium Control can provide up to 24 hours of protection after one daily tablet, making it suitable for individuals experiencing frequent heartburn (e.g., twice or more per week).

Adults aged 18 years and over:

• Take one tablet once daily, ideally at the same time each day.
• The tablet can be taken with or without food.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew, as it is gastro-resistant and designed to release in the intestine.

Duration of Use:

• Continue treatment for up to 14 days. If symptoms have not improved after 14 consecutive days, consult your doctor or pharmacist before repeating treatment.
