Product Overview
Pack of 100 ultra-fine sterile pen needles (30G x 8mm) for precise, comfortable insulin injections. Fits most major diabetes pen devices.
Description
NovoFine Pen Needles 30G 8mm – Pack of 100 are sterile, single-use insulin pen needles engineered to deliver accurate, comfortable subcutaneous injections for people managing diabetes. These needles feature a 30 gauge (0.3 mm) ultra-thin wall design with SuperFlow™ technology that helps improve medication flow and reduce injection force, which can enhance comfort during dosing.
The 8 mm length is widely used for subcutaneous delivery and suitable for many adults and adolescents, helping ensure insulin or other prescribed injectable medication reaches the intended tissue layer. Manufactured to be compatible with most major insulin pen systems including Novo Nordisk pens and many other leading brands, these needles are a versatile choice for daily diabetes care.
Brand: NovoFine (part of Novo Nordisk diabetes care consumables).
Pack Size: 100 sterile needles.
Intended Use: Single-use needle for insulin and compatible injectable pen devices.
How to Use
Important: Only use NovoFine pen needles after training by a healthcare professional and according to the instructions provided with your insulin pen and medication.
Adults and adolescents requiring insulin or injectable therapy:
- Wash and dry hands thoroughly before handling.
- Open one sterile needle from the sealed packaging.
- Attach the needle to your compatible insulin or injectable pen device by pushing it on and twisting until secure.
- Remove the outer cap and keep it for later removal.
- Remove the inner needle cover and dispose of it safely (do not replace).
- Perform a flow check if recommended by your insulin pen instructions to ensure the needle and medication are ready.
- Administer your injection at the prescribed site (abdomen, thigh, buttocks, upper arm) as directed by your healthcare provider.
- After injection, recap with the outer cap and carefully remove the needle from the pen.
- Dispose of used needles immediately in an approved sharps container to prevent injury.
Single-Use Only: Do not reuse needles — reusing can increase pain, risk of infection, tissue damage and blockages.
Ingredients
As a medical consumable accessory, NovoFine Pen Needles do not contain “ingredients” like a pharmaceutical medicine. Instead, they are manufactured components designed for safe and effective delivery of injectable medications:
• 30 gauge stainless steel needle (0.3 mm diameter) – ultra-thin design for reduced discomfort.
• 8 mm needle length – suitable for subcutaneous injections in most adults and adolescents.
• Thin-wall SuperFlow™ design – enhances flow rates, reducing the force required to deliver medication.
• Silicone lubrication and coatings – to support smoother needle entry and withdrawal.
Each needle is sterile-packed, intended for single-use only, to minimise infection risk.
Side Effects & Warnings
Possible Side Effects
Although designed for comfort and safety, injection needles can sometimes cause mild local reactions such as:
• Temporary discomfort, stinging or irritation at the injection site.
• Mild redness, swelling or slight bruising after injection.
These effects are generally mild and transient. If reactions are persistent, worsen or are concerning, seek advice from your pharmacist, diabetes nurse or GP.
Warnings & Precautions
Before use, please note:
• For external injection use only. Do not use needles for other purposes.
• Single-use only: Never reuse needles — reuse increases the risk of pain, infection and needle damage.
• Dispose of used needles safely in a designated sharps container in line with local regulations — do not discard in household waste.
• Avoid touching the needle tip or shaft to maintain sterility before injection.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• If you experience significant pain, prolonged bleeding, signs of infection, or if a needle breaks or bends during use, seek professional medical advice immediately.
• Store unused needles at the temperature and conditions specified on the pack; avoid extremes of heat or moisture.
