Adults and adolescents requiring insulin or injectable therapy:

1. Wash and dry hands thoroughly before handling.
2. Open one sterile needle from the sealed packaging.
3. Attach the needle to your compatible insulin or injectable pen device by pushing it on and twisting until secure.
4. Remove the outer cap and keep it for later removal.
5. Remove the inner needle cover and dispose of it safely (do not replace).
6. Perform a flow check if recommended by your insulin pen instructions to ensure the needle and medication are ready.
7. Administer your injection at the prescribed site (abdomen, thigh, buttocks, upper arm) as directed by your healthcare provider.
8. After injection, recap with the outer cap and carefully remove the needle from the pen.
