Product Overview
Pack of 100 ultra-thin 31G 6mm sterile pen needles for comfortable, precise insulin delivery. Compatible with most major insulin pens.
Description
NovoFine Pen Needles 31G 6mm – Pack of 100 are sterile, disposable insulin pen needles manufactured for precise, comfortable subcutaneous injections in people managing diabetes. The 31-gauge (0.25 mm) ultra-thin design and short 6 mm length help to minimise pain, reduce tissue trauma and promote accurate delivery of insulin or other injectable therapies with pen devices. These needles are engineered with SuperFlow™ technology to improve flow rates and reduce injection force, supporting smoother and more comfortable administration.
The pack contains 100 individually wrapped needles, making it a convenient, long-lasting supply for regular use at home or on the go. NovoFine needles are compatible with a wide range of major insulin pen brands and injectable systems, offering flexibility for patients using different devices.
Brand: NovoFine (manufactured and marketed under Novo Nordisk diabetes care solutions).
Pack Size: 100 sterile needles.
Intended Use: Insulin and other subcutaneous pen-delivered medications in diabetes management and similar therapies.
Regulatory Status: Medical device components for injection pens; single-use sterile needles.
How to Use
Adults and adolescents requiring insulin or other injectable therapy:
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling the needle.
- Remove one needle from its protective blister or packaging immediately prior to use.
- Attach the needle to your compatible insulin or injectable pen device as instructed by the pen manufacturer — typically by pushing on and twisting until secure.
- Remove the outer needle cap and set it aside; this will be needed to remove the needle after injection.
- Remove the inner needle cap and dispose of it safely.
- Perform a flow check (as described in your pen instructions) to confirm insulin flows and the needle is positioned correctly.
- Administer your medication according to your prescribed regimen, injecting at an appropriate site (e.g., abdomen, thigh or upper arm) as advised by your healthcare provider.
- After injection, recap with the outer cap and remove the needle from the pen. Dispose of the used needle immediately into a sharps bin or other approved sharps disposal container in line with local health and safety regulations.
Important: Needles are single-use only and should not be reused, recapped unsafely, bent or manipulated, as this increases risk of infection, trauma and inaccurate dosing.

As a medical injection accessory, NovoFine Pen Needles do not contain pharmacological ingredients; they are manufactured components designed to facilitate safe and accurate drug delivery. Key materials and design features include:

Side Effects & Warnings
Possible Adverse Effects
When used correctly, NovoFine Pen Needles are generally well tolerated. However, as with all injection procedures, local reactions may occur, including:
- Mild discomfort or irritation at the injection site.
- Redness, bruising or slight swelling around the injection area.
- Temporary pain associated with needle penetration.
These effects tend to be mild and transient. If irritation is persistent, worsens or is associated with signs of infection (e.g., increasing warmth, significant redness, discharge), seek advice from a pharmacist, nurse or GP.
Warnings & Precautions
Before and during use, ensure the following UK pharmacy-aligned safety measures:
- For single-use only. Do not reuse pen needles; reuse can damage the needle tip, reduce sterility and increase the risk of pain, bleeding, infection, or blocked delivery.
- Do not recap or bend needles before disposal as this increases the risk of accidental needle stick injuries.
- Always dispose of used needles in a designated sharps bin or approved disposal container in accordance with local healthcare waste guidance.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Seek professional instruction if you are unfamiliar with pen needle attachment or injection techniques.
- If you experience unusual pain, bleeding, severe discomfort or symptoms of infection at multiple sites, or have concerns about your injection technique or devices, consult a qualified healthcare professional promptly.
