Nurofen Long Lasting Pain Relief 300 mg – 24 Capsules is a sustained-release ibuprofen medicine designed to provide up to 12 hours of pain relief from a single dose.
Each capsule contains ibuprofen 300 mg in a specially formulated prolonged-release format that releases the medicine gradually, helping to maintain pain relief over a longer period. This makes it suitable for people who prefer fewer doses per day.
It helps relieve:
- Headache and migraine
- Back pain
- Muscular aches and sprains
- Dental pain
- Period pain
- Joint pain and stiffness
- Fever and inflammation associated with colds and flu
Suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over, Nurofen Long Lasting is intended for short-term use only.
How to Use
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
- Take 1 capsule, up to twice daily as required.
Maximum dose:
- Do not take more than 2 capsules (600 mg) in 24 hours.
UK pharmacy-aligned guidance:
- Swallow capsules whole with water.
- Do not crush or chew.
- Leave at least 12 hours between doses.
- Take with food or milk if stomach irritation occurs.
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary.
- If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, worsen or new symptoms occur, seek medical advice.

Warnings & Precautions
- Contains ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Avoid use if dehydrated.
Do NOT take this medicine if you:
- Are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs.
- Have or have had a stomach ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation.
- Have severe heart, kidney or liver disease.
- Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
- Are under 12 years of age.
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you:
- Have asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney problems or bowel conditions.
- Are elderly.
- Are taking blood-thinning medicines, steroids or other painkillers.
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Possible Side Effects
Like all medicines, Nurofen Long Lasting can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. These may include:
- Indigestion, stomach pain or nausea
- Headache or dizziness
- Skin rash or itching (rare)
- Gastrointestinal bleeding (very rare but serious)

- Store below 25 °C.
