Optive Plus Lubricant Eye Drops - 10ml

Optive Plus Lubricant Eye Drops (10ml) are a triple-action lubricating and osmoprotective comfort solution designed to provide long-lasting relief from moderate to severe dry eye symptoms, including dryness, burning, irritation and discomfort.

Optive Plus is formulated to:

• Lubricate the surface of the eye to reduce discomfort and friction (with carmellose sodium 0.5%).
• Moisturise ocular surface cells and support tear film comfort (with glycerin 1.0% and osmoprotectants).
• Support the tear film with a lipid enhancement (contains castor oil 0.25%), helping comfort where evaporation contributes to dryness.

Preserved with PURITE® 0.01%, a “disappearing preservative” system designed to break down into natural tear components on the eye.

Pack size: 10ml 

For use in the eyes only.

• Instil 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, or as directed by an eye care professional.

Application steps (good practice)

1. Wash and dry hands.
2. Remove the cap.
3. Tilt head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket.
4. Hold the bottle above the eye and apply 1–2 drops.
5. Blink gently to spread the drop across the eye surface.
6. Replace the cap immediately and close the bottle tightly.

If using other eye products: allow at least 5 minutes between different ophthalmic products.

Contact lenses: if you wear contact lenses, follow your optician’s advice. If you experience stinging/blurred vision or irritation, remove lenses and seek advice.

After opening: discard any remaining solution 3 months after opening (follow the carton/leaflet instructions).

Optive Plus solution contains:

• Sodium carboxymethylcellulose (carmellose sodium) 0.5%
• Glycerin (glycerol) 1.0%
• Castor oil 0.25%
• Polysorbate 80 0.5%
• Levocarnitine 0.25%, erythritol 0.25% (osmoprotectants)
• Boric acid 0.6%, Pemulen TR-2, purified water, sodium hydroxide (pH adjustment)
• Preservative: PURITE® 0.01%

Do not use

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
• If the tamper-evident seal is broken before first use, or if the solution changes colour.

Important warnings

• Do not swallow the solution.
• To avoid contamination or possible eye injury, do not touch the bottle tip to the eye, eyelids, fingers, or any surface.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Temporary blurred vision may occur after application; wait until vision clears before driving or using machinery.

Stop use and seek advice urgently (pharmacist/optometrist/GP/111) if you experience:

• Eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness/irritation, or if symptoms worsen.

Storage

• Store at room temperature and keep the bottle tightly closed.
• Discard 3 months after opening (follow pack instructions).
