What is Oral B Pro Expert Floss?

\nOral B Pro Expert Floss is a mint flavoured, premium dental floss that can help you to clean between your teeth and along your gum line effectively. It slides easily, helping to prevent gum problems, and is kind to your fingers. Ideal for those who want to keep their teeth clean and fresh. \n

What causes gum problems?

\nGum problems are usually caused when bacteria causes redness and swollen gums. This is known as gingivitis. Gingivitis can be mild and short-term and with proper treatment, can not be a problem long-term. Gingivitis makes the teeth bleed which will be a sign that you have bacteria in the gums. \n

Why do I need to floss my teeth regularly?

\nFlossing is an essential part of any dental care routine because it helps you to clean all of the hard to reach places that your toothbrush can’t clean. When you clean your teeth, you remove bacteria, food, and plaque that have built up during the day. When left, this debris can cause tooth decay, which is why it’s so important to clean between the teeth as a part of your regular dental routine. \n

What is dental plaque?

\nPlaque is the colourless, soft, sticky substance that builds up on your teeth throughout the day. It contains millions of bacteria, and given enough time and the right conditions, plaque acids can damage your teeth. This causes tooth decay, which can lead to toothache, tooth sensitivity, bad breath, and tooth discolouration. \n \n 

Directions for use

1. Take approximately 45cm of Oral-B Pro-Expert Premium Dental Floss and wind the ends around your middle fingers, leaving about 10cm of floss between your hands.
2. Hold the floss taut between your thumbs and index fingers.
3. Gently glide the floss between your teeth in a back-and-forth motion.
4. Curve the floss around the base of each tooth and gently slide it under the gumline.
5. Use a fresh section of floss as you move from tooth to tooth.
6. Be sure to clean both sides of every tooth and along the gumline.
7. Use the floss at least once a day, preferably before brushing your teeth.
8. Dispose of the used floss in a waste bin.
9. Store Oral-B Pro-Expert Premium Dental Floss in a cool, dry place and keep it out of reach of children.
