Description
Panadol Night Pain Tablets – 20 Tablets are a dual-action pharmacy medicine specifically formulated to relieve pain that makes it difficult to sleep. The combination of paracetamol and diphenhydramine hydrochloride works to relieve mild to moderate pain while helping you fall asleep and stay asleep.
This product is ideal for managing nighttime pain that disrupts rest, including:
- Headache and migraine
- Backache and muscular pain
- Period pain
- Rheumatic discomfort
- Toothache and other aches which interfere with sleep
The dual-action formula helps address both the cause of bedtime discomfort (pain) and the symptom of sleeplessness linked to that pain.
How to Use
Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 16 years and over:
- Swallow 2 tablets with water about 20 minutes before bedtime.
- Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours.
- Do not use for more than 7 consecutive nights without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
Important pharmacy-aligned guidance:
- Do not take Panadol Night if you have already taken another product containing paracetamol within the past 4 hours.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Swallow tablets whole — do not chew or crush.

Active Ingredients (per tablet):
- Paracetamol 500 mg — a widely used analgesic and antipyretic for pain and fever relief.
- Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 25 mg — a sedating antihistamine that helps induce drowsiness, assisting in sleep when pain is keeping you awake.

Side Effects & Warnings
Who should not take this medicine
- Children under 16 years.
- Anyone allergic to paracetamol, diphenhydramine or any other ingredient in this product.
- People with porphyria.
- Do not take with other antihistamine-containing products or additional paracetamol-containing medicines
Precautions
- May cause drowsiness, dizziness or sedation — do not drive or operate machinery if affected.
- Avoid alcoholic drinks while using this medicine as it may increase sedative effects.
- If you have liver or kidney disease, are taking other medicines, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, seek professional advice before use.
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Panadol Night Pain tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These may include:
- Drowsiness or sedation
- Dizziness or unsteadiness
- Dry mouth, blurred vision
- Headache
- Nausea
- Rare allergic reactions (rash, itch, swelling)

Overdose warning
- Do not exceed the recommended dose. Paracetamol overdose can result in serious liver damage. In case of suspected overdose, seek urgent medical attention even if you feel well.
Storage
- Store in original packaging below 25 °C, away from moisture and direct light.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
- Do not use past the expiry date shown on the pack.
