Product Overview
Peptac Aniseed Liquid contains 3 active ingredients that work together to relieve the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux. Aniseed-flavoured Peptac Liquid 500 ml provides fast, effective relief from heartburn, indigestion and reflux symptoms by neutralising stomach acid and forming a protective barrier.
Description
Peptac Aniseed Liquid 500 ml is a pharmacy-listed gastro-oesophageal reflux suppressant and antacid liquid formulated to soothe heartburn, indigestion, excess stomach acidity and acid regurgitation. Its triple-action formula uses sodium alginate to form a protective barrier (or “raft”) over stomach contents, while sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate help neutralise excess stomach acid — giving comprehensive symptomatic relief. The familiar aniseed flavour makes the medicine easier to take, particularly after meals or at bedtime when symptoms commonly occur.
Peptac does not rely on systemic absorption, instead acting locally in the stomach and oesophagus for rapid relief of discomfort associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) and related conditions.
How to Use
Directions:
• Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 10–20 ml (two to four 5 ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime.
• Children 6–12 years: Typically 5–10 ml after meals and at bedtime (only if advised by a pharmacist/doctor).
• Shake well before use. Use a proper medicine spoon or measuring cup provided.
Important Advice:
• Do not take within 1–2 hours of other oral medicines, as Peptac may interfere with their absorption.
• If symptoms persist for more than 7 days or worsen, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
• Always follow the patient information leaflet for full directions.
