Product Overview
Pyrocalm Control 20 mg Pack of 7 gastro-resistant tablets contain omeprazole and provide short-term relief from frequent heartburn and acid reflux by lowering stomach acid. Suitable for adults 18+, up to 24-hour relief with one-a-day dosing. Includes UK usage and safety guidance.
Description
Pyrocalm Control 20 mg – Pack of 7 is an over-the-counter proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medicine for adults that helps reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach, providing short-term relief from frequent heartburn, acid reflux and acid regurgitation. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 20 mg of omeprazole, a well-established active ingredient used in the management of gastro-oesophageal reflux symptoms.
Pyrocalm Control works by blocking the acid-producing proton pumps in the stomach lining, helping to ease discomfort caused by excess stomach acid and allowing inflamed tissues to recover. Relief may start within a few days, but full benefit is usually seen after 2-3 days of consecutive daily dosing.
This pack of 7 tablets is suitable for a short-term course of treatment (up to 14 days) and is intended for adults aged 18 years and over.
How to Use
Always read the enclosed leaflet before use.
• Adults (18 years and over): Take one 20 mg tablet once daily, preferably in the morning.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush — the gastro-resistant coating ensures release in the intestine.
• Relief may not be immediate. It can take 2–3 consecutive days for full symptom improvement.
• Do not exceed one tablet per day. Up to 14 days’ use is recommended without consulting a clinician.
• If symptoms persist after a complete course or worsen, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
• Store in the original packaging below 25 °C and keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Ingredients
Active Ingredient:
• Omeprazole 20 mg (as gastro-resistant tablets) — a proton pump inhibitor that decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach, helping to relieve heartburn and reflux symptoms.
Excipients (non-active, for tablet formulation and coating — may include):
• Lactose monohydrate, maize starch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose acetate succinate, talc, macrogol, stearates, colourants — for manufacturing consistency and gastro-resistance.
Note: Always verify the exact excipient list on the product packaging or leaflet to ensure suitability, especially for patients with allergies or intolerances (e.g., lactose).
