Product Overview
Rapid glucose gel (40% w/w) in easy-use 25 g tubes, each providing 10 g of carbohydrate for quick relief of low blood sugar episodes. Gluten-free, lactose-free and suitable for a range of dietary needs.
Description
Rapilose Gel is a fast-acting glucose gel that provides rapidly absorbed carbohydrates to increase the body's blood sugar levels quickly. Each tube contains 10g of anhydrous glucose - the government's National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommends 10g-20g of rapidly absorbed simple carbohydrate for the treatment of mild to moderate hypoglycaemia in children and young people. If your need for carbohydrate is often greater than 10g, then simply use another tube. \n \nRapilose Gel is particularly useful if you are eating less (e.g. trying to lose weight, upset stomach), or exercising, or in any situation where meals are delayed, skipped or forgotten. \n \nThe delicious forest fruits flavoured gel is supplied in handy 25g tubes which fit easily and discreetly into pockets and bags so you can keep one handy at all times. The packaging is functional and easy-to-use, even for patients where dexterity is affected or eyesight is poor. \n \nRapilose Gel contains no colour additives and is gluten, lactose, fat, caffeine and alcohol free.
How to Use
Directions:
• Adults and children (as clinically advised): twist off the cap and squeeze the gel directly into the mouth, either onto the tongue or inside the cheek. Swallow the gel or rub it gently inside the cheek to promote rapid absorption.
• Typical dose: one 25 g tube delivers ~10 g of glucose; if more carbohydrate is needed (e.g., if symptoms persist), a second tube may be used — follow guidance from your doctor, diabetes specialist nurse or pharmacist.
• Frequency: Use only as needed for symptomatic relief of low blood glucose. Regular glucose monitoring is recommended when managing diabetes.
Important Advice:
• Ensure the person is conscious and able to swallow safely before administering the gel.
• Not suitable for unconscious individuals (risk of choking).
• Always follow your individual treatment plan and seek clinical advice if you’re unsure about carbohydrate dosing.
