Product Overview
Drug-free acupressure wristbands for pregnancy nausea. Applies gentle pressure to the P6 (Nei-Kuan) point on each wrist. Reusable and hand-washable.
Description
Sea-Band Mama Acupressure Bands are reusable wristbands designed to help relieve nausea and vomiting during pregnancy (morning sickness) using acupressure, a drug-free approach that avoids drowsiness. The bands apply gentle, continuous pressure to the P6 (Nei-Kuan) acupressure point on the inside of each wrist via a small plastic stud.
They can be worn before nausea starts (for example, first thing in the morning) or whenever symptoms occur, and may be worn continuously if needed.
Key features
- Drug-free, non-drowsy nausea relief using P6 acupressure
- One pair: wear one band on each wrist
- Reusable and hand-washable (mild soap/detergent)
- Comfortable elasticated knit with plastic pressure stud
How to Use
Positioning (P6 / Nei-Kuan point)
- Wear one band on each wrist.
- Turn your palm upwards. Place your index, middle and ring fingers of the other hand across the inside of your wrist, with the edge of the third finger at the wrist crease.
- The P6 point is just under your index finger, between the two central tendons.
- Position the band so the plastic stud/button sits directly over this point (approximately three finger widths below the wrist crease).
When to wear
- For best results, wear before you feel nauseous, or at any time symptoms start.
- Bands can be worn continuously, day or night, if required.
Cleaning
- Hand-wash using soap or a mild detergent, rinse well and allow to dry.
Ingredients
Materials (product composition)
- Elastic knitted fabric (commonly listed as acrylic, nylon and elastane)
- Plastic pressure stud/button
- Often described as latex-free (check pack if you have a known sensitivity).
Side Effects & Warnings
Warnings
- Remove immediately if painful. Some people are sensitive to pressure at this point.
- Prolonged use may cause swelling of the hands. If swelling occurs, remove the bands and reapply once swelling has settled.
- May interfere with the use or performance of some medical devices (for example catheters or blood pressure monitors). If unsure, seek medical advice.
- Keep out of reach of children when not in use. Use as directed.
Side effects
Sea-Band wristbands are not expected to cause medicine-like side effects. Most issues relate to pressure effects (pain, tenderness, or swelling). If symptoms persist, worsen, or you have concerns about pregnancy sickness (for example inability to keep fluids down, signs of dehydration, weight loss, or severe vomiting), seek urgent medical advice.
