Senokot Syrup contains calcium sennosides, which work as a laxative for the short term relief of occasional constipation. Constipation is a fairly common and uncomfortable complaint. It usually involves difficult or irregular bowel movements, accompanied by hard, dry motions which can be painful to pass. This medicine does not help with weight loss.

Senokot® Constipation Relief Syrup 500ml is a trusted stimulant laxative used for the short-term relief of occasional constipation.
It contains senna, a natural plant-derived ingredient that works by stimulating the muscles of the bowel to encourage a bowel movement. Senokot® is particularly effective where constipation is caused by sluggish bowel movement, such as after illness, reduced mobility, dietary changes or short-term lifestyle disruption.
The liquid formulation makes it suitable for people who prefer or require a syrup laxative, including those who have difficulty swallowing tablets. When taken at bedtime, Senokot® Syrup is designed to work overnight, helping to produce a bowel movement by the following morning.

How to Use
Shake the bottle well before use. Always use a suitable measuring spoon or cup.
Recommended dosage (unless otherwise advised):
- Adults and children over 12 years:
- 10–20ml once daily, preferably at bedtime
- Children aged 6–12 years:
- 5–10ml once daily, preferably at bedtime
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Senokot® Syrup usually works within 8–12 hours. Ensure adequate fluid intake during treatment.
