Strepsils Strefen Honey & Lemon Lozenges – Pack of 16 are a medicated throat lozenge designed to provide fast and effective relief from sore throat pain and inflammation. Unlike standard antiseptic lozenges, Strefen works by treating the inflammation that causes throat pain, helping reduce swelling and soreness at the source.

Each lozenge contains flurbiprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which works locally in the throat to relieve pain, swelling and difficulty swallowing. As the lozenge dissolves slowly in the mouth, it releases the active ingredient directly where it is needed, providing targeted relief.

The honey and lemon flavour offers a soothing taste while helping to comfort an irritated throat. Suitable for adults and young people aged 12 years and over, Strepsils Strefen is intended for short-term use when sore throat symptoms are most uncomfortable.

Adults and young people aged 12 years and over:

• Dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth every 3–6 hours as required.

Maximum dose:

• Do not exceed 5 lozenges in 24 hours.

Warnings & Precautions

• Contains an NSAID; do not use with other NSAID medicines (e.g. ibuprofen, aspirin) without medical advice.
• For oral use only.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of use.

Do NOT use if you:

• Are allergic to flurbiprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs.
• Have or have had stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe heart, kidney or liver problems.
• Are under 12 years of age.
• Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.

Possible Side Effects

Like all medicines, Strepsils Strefen can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. These may include:

• Mouth or throat irritation
• Nausea or stomach discomfort
• Headache or dizziness
• Rare allergic reactions such as rash, swelling or breathing difficulty

Stop use and seek medical advice immediately if you experience signs of an allergic reaction or gastrointestinal bleeding (e.g. black stools, blood in vomit).

Storage

• Store below 25 °C in a dry place.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.
