Sudafed Decongestant Tablets - 12 Tablets

Sudafed Decongestant Tablets – 12 Tablets are a pharmacy-only (P) decongestant medicine used to provide effective relief from blocked nose and sinus congestion associated with colds, flu and allergies.

Each tablet contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, a proven nasal decongestant that works by reducing swelling in the blood vessels of the nasal passages, helping to relieve pressure and congestion in the nose and sinuses. This action makes breathing easier and helps relieve the feeling of a heavy or blocked head.

Sudafed Decongestant Tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over and are intended for short-term use only.

Adults and children aged 12 years and over:

• Take 1 tablet, up to four times daily.

Maximum dose:

• Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.

• Swallow tablets with water.
• Leave at least 4–6 hours between doses.
• Do not exceed the stated dose.
• Use for no longer than 7 days unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Do NOT take this medicine if you:

• Are allergic to pseudoephedrine or any other ingredient.
• Have severe high blood pressure or heart disease.
• Are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or have taken them in the last 14 days.
• Have hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, or enlarged prostate without medical advice.
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
• Are under 12 years of age.

Possible Side Effects

Like all medicines, Sudafed Decongestant Tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. These may include:

• Nervousness or restlessness
• Difficulty sleeping
• Headache or dizziness
• Increased heart rate or palpitations (rare)
• Nausea or stomach upset
