SUDAFED Sinus Ease Spray 15ml

SUDAFED Sinus Ease Spray 15ml is a 0.1% nasal decongestant spray designed to help clear the blocked-up feeling in the nose and sinuses. It helps relieve congestion linked to sinusitis, colds and hayfever, making breathing feel easier when nasal passages are swollen and stuffy.

The active ingredient is xylometazoline hydrochloride, a topical decongestant that works by reducing swelling in the nasal passages. The metered spray delivers an exact dose directly where it is needed, starts working within minutes, and can last for up to 10 hours.

This medicine is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

For adults and children aged 12 years and over, use one spray into each nostril two or three times a day, as needed. Do not use more than three doses in 24 hours.

Do not use this spray for more than 7 consecutive days. Prolonged or excessive use may make congestion worse or return after stopping treatment.

When using for the first time, prime the spray if needed, keep the bottle upright, insert the nozzle into the nostril, and spray while breathing in gently through the nose. Wipe the nozzle after use and replace the cap.

Active ingredient:

Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% w/v.

Other ingredients:

Sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, sorbitol solution, purified water, and preservative benzalkonium chloride.

Product form:

Clear aqueous nasal spray supplied in a 15ml metered-dose pack. 

Do not use this spray if you are allergic to xylometazoline or any of the ingredients, if you have had recent nasal surgery, or if you are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the last 14 days.

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid, glaucoma, enlarged prostate, or phaeochromocytoma.

Possible side effects can include burning or stinging in the nose or throat, local irritation, dryness, nausea, headache, and in some cases palpitations or raised blood pressure. Stop use and seek advice if symptoms worsen, do not improve, or if troublesome side effects occur.

For safe use, avoid sharing the spray with others, use only in the nose, and keep out of the sight and reach of children.
