Product Overview
Sugar-free teething gel with gentle anaesthetic and antiseptics to temporarily soothe sore gums and relieve teething discomfort in infants from 5+ months.
Description
Anbesol Teething Gel 10g is a pharmacy-medicine gel formulated to provide temporary relief from the pain and discomfort associated with teething in infants and young children aged from 5 months onwards when non-medicinal methods have not been sufficient.
This soft pink, sugar-free gel combines a mild local anaesthetic (lidocaine hydrochloride) that temporarily numbs gum tissue to ease the sensation of pain with two antiseptics (chlorocresol and cetylpyridinium chloride) to help protect the mouth area. The gel is also used for short-term relief of mouth ulcers and denture irritation in older children and adults.
Pack size: 10g
Category: Teething pain relief / Oral pain gel
Suitable for: Babies 5 months and over (plus children and adults for mouth ulcers/denture irritation when appropriate)
How to Use
Always read the enclosed Patient Information Leaflet and follow label directions or pharmacist advice.
Steps for application:
- Wash your hands and ensure the baby’s gum area is clean.
- Apply a small amount (pea-size) of gel onto a clean fingertip.
- Gently spread the gel onto the sore gum area where teething discomfort is present.
- For babies and children, do not apply more often than every 3 hours and use up to 6 times in 24 hours if necessary.
- Stop treatment once symptoms resolve and do not use for more than 7 days per teething episode without medical advice.
Important: Do not feed or allow hot liquids immediately after application, as numb areas may not sense heat.
