Aquadrate Cream (Urea 10% w/w) – 100g

Aquadrate Cream (Urea 10% w/w) – 100g is a dermatological emollient cream formulated to help manage dry, scaly and rough skin by increasing hydration and restoring suppleness. The active ingredient, urea 10% w/w, is mixed with white soft paraffin to form an oily film that helps reduce water loss from the skin’s surface, minimise irritation and improve the appearance and texture of dry skin.

This cream is often used for the management of xerosis (very dry skin), atopic dermatitis/eczema, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis and keratosis, and to relieve pruritus (itching) associated with dry skin.

Form: Off-white, non-perfumed, non-greasy topical cream 

Prepare skin: Wash the affected area with mild cleanser, rinse off all traces of soap, and gently pat dry.

• Apply cream: Squeeze a suitable amount of Aquadrate Cream and apply to the dry, affected skin area. ✥

• Frequency: Use twice daily (morning and evening) or as advised by a pharmacist or clinician. Gently massage into the skin until absorbed.

• Daily routine: For chronic dry skin, consistency matters — regular application helps maintain moisture levels and reduce scaling/itching.

• Adults & children: Suitable for use on adults, elderly and children (including those with dry, scaly conditions), but avoid in infants without professional advice.

Active Ingredient:

• Urea 10% w/w – a humectant that helps the skin retain water, soften and smooth dry, scaly areas.

Other Ingredients:

• White soft paraffin – forms a barrier to reduce moisture loss.

• Isopropyl myristate – skin-conditioning emollient.

• Maize starch – aids texture.

• Glyceryl tribehenate – emollient.

• Palmitic acid, Sorbitan laurate, Polyoxyethylene fatty glyceride – cream base and stabilisers.

This formulation produces a smooth, non-perfumed cream suited for dry or sensitive skin care without unnecessary fragrances or colourants. 

Warnings & Precautions

• External use only. Do not apply on broken, moist, weeping or infected skin.

• Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

• Allergy: Do not use if you are allergic to urea or any other ingredients; consult a pharmacist if unsure.

• Fire hazard: Emollients containing paraffin may increase flammability of clothing or bedding; avoid naked flames and heat sources near treated areas.

• Pregnancy & breastfeeding: If pregnant or breastfeeding, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist before use.

• Storage: Store below 30 °C, keep out of sight and reach of children, and do not use past the expiry date on the tube.
