Description
Beconase Aqueous Nasal Spray is a steroid nasal spray used to prevent and treat inflammation inside the nose caused by allergies. It contains beclometasone dipropionate, a corticosteroid that reduces swelling and irritation in the nasal lining.
By calming inflammation, Beconase helps relieve common allergy symptoms including:
- Sneezing
- Itching
- Blocked nose
- Runny nose
It is suitable for both seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and year-round (perennial) allergic rhinitis, such as allergies caused by pets or house dust mites.

How to Use
Always use Beconase exactly as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.
Recommended Dose (Adults & Children 6+)
- Starting dose:
- Two sprays into each nostril twice daily
- Maintenance dose (once symptoms improve):
- One spray into each nostril twice daily
- Maximum daily dose:
- 8 sprays in total (4 per nostril)

Benzalkonium chloride may cause nasal irritation if used long-term and may trigger wheezing in people with asthma.

Do Not Use If
- You are allergic to beclometasone dipropionate or any ingredient in this product

- You have had recent nasal surgery
- You have a nasal infection
- You have used steroid medicines long-term (by mouth or injection)
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are taking medicines such as ritonavir or cobicistat

- Cataracts or glaucoma
- Skin reactions such as rash or itching

- Blurred vision

Children & Long-Term Use
High doses used for long periods may affect growth in children. The lowest effective dose should always be used, and growth may be monitored during prolonged treatment.
