Calpol Sugar Free Infant Suspension - 20 Sachets

Calpol Sugar Free Infant Suspension Sachets are a paracetamol-based oral medicine designed to provide gentle and effective relief from pain and fever in babies and young children from 2 months of age (weighing over 4kg).

Each sachet contains a pre-measured dose of liquid paracetamol, helping to ensure accurate dosing and reducing the risk of dosing errors. The sachets are sugar free, making them suitable for infants who need to avoid sugar, and are particularly convenient for travel, nursery bags or on-the-go use.

Calpol Sugar Free Infant Suspension is commonly used to help relieve:

• Fever (high temperature)
• Pain following routine vaccinations (from 2 months)
• Teething pain
• Toothache
• Headache
• Sore throat
• Aches and pains associated with colds and flu

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as advised by a pharmacist, GP or health visitor.

Dosage (based on age):

• 2–3 months:
• 1 sachet (2.5ml) after vaccination only
• (A second sachet may be given after 4–6 hours if needed)
• 3–6 months:
• 1 sachet (2.5ml), up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 6–24 months:
• 2 sachets (5ml), up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 2–4 years:
• 3 sachets (7.5ml), up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 4–6 years:
• 4 sachets (10ml), up to 4 times in 24 hours

Administration:

• Tear open the sachet and give the contents directly
• Can be given with or without food

Important dosing advice:

• Leave at least 4 hours between doses
• Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours
• Do not give to babies under 2 months
• Do not use for more than 3 days without medical advice

Active ingredient:

• Paracetamol 120mg per 5ml

Other ingredients include:

• Maltitol liquid
• Glycerol
• Xanthan gum
• Purified water

Sugar free.

Important warnings:

• Do not give with any other paracetamol-containing medicines
• Exceeding the recommended dose may cause serious liver damage

Do not use:

• In babies under 2 months
• If your child is allergic to paracetamol or any of the ingredients

Warnings & precautions:

• Consult a pharmacist or GP before use if your child has liver or kidney problems
• Contains maltitol, which may cause a mild laxative effect if taken in excess
• Seek medical advice if symptoms persist, worsen, or fever lasts more than 3 days

Possible side effects (rare):

• Skin rash or allergic reactions
• Blood disorders (very rare)
