Conotrane Cream – 500 g is a versatile antiseptic barrier cream formulated to protect, soothe and support healing of moisture-related skin irritations in babies, adults and the elderly. It forms a water-repellent barrier on the skin using dimeticone (22 % w/w) to shield against moisture and irritants, while benzalkonium chloride (0.1 % w/w) delivers mild antiseptic action against bacteria and yeasts commonly associated with nappy rash and other friction-related skin damage.

Conotrane Cream is widely used in the prevention and treatment of nappy rash, pressure sores, incontinence-associated dermatitis and other skin irritations caused by rubbing, chafing or prolonged contact with moisture. Its smooth, easily absorbed formula helps keep skin protected and is suitable for regular use.

1. Clean & Dry: Gently cleanse and dry the affected skin before application to remove irritants.
2. Apply Cream: Apply a thin, even layer of Conotrane Cream to the irritated or exposed area.
3. Frequency: Use several times a day or as needed. For nappy rash, re-apply at every nappy change to ensure continuous protection.
4. General Skin Care: Reapply after washing the area and whenever skin is exposed to moisture or friction, such as in incontinence care or chafing.
5. Consultation: If symptoms persist, spread, worsen or last more than 14 days, seek advice from a doctor, nurse or pharmacist.

Note: For external cutaneous use only; avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Active Substances:

• Dimeticone 22 % w/w – water-repellent agent that forms a protective barrier on skin.

Other Ingredients:

Cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether, white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin, macrogol, potassium dihydrogen orthophosphate, geranium (fragrance) and purified water.

Important Warnings & Precautions

• External use only: Do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

• Allergy Alert: Do not use if you or your child are allergic to benzalkonium chloride, dimeticone or any other listed ingredients (including cetostearyl alcohol). Hypersensitivity reactions such as redness or rash may occur.

• Fire Hazard: Contains paraffin. Fabrics (clothing, bedding, dressings) that have been in contact with the cream may burn more easily. Avoid naked flames and heat sources; wash fabrics regularly to reduce build-up.

• Broken Skin: Avoid use on severely broken, weeping or infected skin unless directed by a healthcare professional.

• Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: If pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.

• Storage: Store below 25 °C and keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use past the expiry date.
