Take care with this product if you have a rare bowel condition called ‘fibrosing colonopathy, which causes your gut to narrow. It has been reported in patients with Cystic Fibrosis taking high dose pancreatin products. If you have cystic fibrosis and take in excess of 10,000 lipase units per kilogram per day and have unusual abdominal symptoms or changes in abdominal symptoms, seek advice from your doctor. What are the Ingredients in Creon 10000ui Capsules
The main component in Creon 10000 is pancreatin. Each capsule contains small granules, coated to withstand stomach acids, containing pancreatin 150 mg. This amount is equivalent to:
- Lipase: 10,000 PhEur units
- Amylase: 8,000 PhEur units
- Protease: 600 PhEur units
The granules are coated with a mixture comprising macrogol 4000, hypromellose phthalate, dimeticone, triethyl citrate, and cetyl alcohol. The capsules themselves consist of gelatin, along with iron oxides (E172), titanium dioxide (E171), and sodium lauryl sulfate for color and stability.
