Colpermin Capsules - 100 Capsules

Colpermin Capsules (100 capsules) are a gastro-resistant peppermint oil medicine used to help relieve symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and related digestive discomfort. These symptoms may include:

• Abdominal pain or cramps
• Bloating and wind
• Spasms of the gut

Each capsule contains peppermint oil, which has antispasmodic properties. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the bowel, helping to reduce painful spasms and discomfort associated with IBS.

Colpermin capsules are enteric-coated, meaning they are designed to pass through the stomach and release peppermint oil in the intestines, where it is most effective. This coating also helps reduce peppermint-related stomach irritation.

Colpermin is commonly recommended in pharmacy practice as a first-line or adjunct treatment for IBS, particularly where abdominal pain and bloating are prominent symptoms.

Dosage:

• Adults and children aged 8 years and over:
• Take 1 capsule, up to three times daily

How to take:

• Swallow capsules whole with water
• Take at least 1 hour before food or 2 hours after food
• Do not chew, crush or dissolve the capsules

• Take regularly for best results
• Relief may take several days to become noticeable
• If symptoms persist after 2 weeks, seek medical advice
