Galpharm Cystocalm Cystitis Relief - 6 Sachets - Cystocalm sachets are a treatment which can help to reduce the symptoms of cystitis or urinary tract infections in women.
Description
Galpharm® Cystocalm Cystitis Relief is a urinary alkalinising treatment used to help relieve the burning pain, stinging and discomfort associated with cystitis and lower urinary tract irritation.
It works by reducing the acidity of urine, which can help soothe the bladder lining and ease uncomfortable symptoms such as:
- Burning or stinging when passing urine
- Increased urgency or frequency of urination
- Bladder discomfort
Cystocalm® provides symptomatic relief and is suitable for use at the first signs of cystitis symptoms. It does not treat the underlying bacterial infection, but may help make symptoms more manageable while awaiting medical advice if needed.
The sachet format allows for fast preparation and easy dosing, making it a convenient option for short-term relief.

How to Use
Always follow the instructions on the packaging or patient information leaflet.
- Empty the contents of one sachet into a glass.
- Add approximately 200ml of cold water.
- Stir until fully dissolved and drink immediately.
Recommended dose:
- Adults: One sachet three times daily for up to 2 days
Drink plenty of fluids during treatment.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
- If symptoms do not improve within 48 hours, or if they worsen, seek advice from a pharmacist or GP.

Side Effects & Warnings
- For oral use only.
- Not suitable for children under 6 years unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Do not use if you have kidney disease, heart disease, or are on a potassium-restricted diet, unless advised by a doctor.
- Consult a pharmacist or GP before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or taking medicines that affect potassium levels.
Possible side effects are uncommon but may include mild stomach upset or nausea.
Seek medical advice urgently if you experience:
- Fever, chills or back pain
- Blood in the urine
- Nausea or vomiting
- Symptoms lasting longer than 48 hours
- Recurrent cystitis or cystitis during pregnancy
Important:
This product does not treat bacterial infection. Antibiotics may still be required in some cases.
