Description
Germolene Antiseptic Cream – 30g is a dual-action first aid cream formulated to help prevent infection while also relieving pain and discomfort associated with minor skin injuries. It contains an antiseptic to help protect against infection and a local anaesthetic to gently numb soreness at the site of application.
It is suitable for use on minor cuts and grazes, small burns and scalds, insect bites and stings, blisters and spots, making it a practical addition to any home, travel or workplace first aid kit. The compact 30g tube is ideal for carrying in a bag or keeping on hand for everyday accidents.

How to Use
Directions for use (UK pharmacy-aligned):
- Clean the affected area gently.
- Apply a thin layer of Germolene Antiseptic Cream to the skin.
- Use 1–3 times daily as required.
- Cover with a clean dressing if necessary.
General advice:
- For external use only.
- If symptoms worsen, signs of infection appear, or the wound does not heal, seek advice from a pharmacist or GP.
- Suitable for adults and children when used as directed.
Ingredients
Active ingredients (w/w):
- Phenol 0.25% – antiseptic to help prevent infection
- Lidocaine hydrochloride 0.7% – local anaesthetic to help relieve pain
Other ingredients include:
Purified water, white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, emulsifying wax, carbomer, sodium hydroxide and fragrance.

Warnings & Precautions
- For external use only.
- Do not use on large, deep or puncture wounds, or on serious burns.
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and nose.
- Do not use if you are allergic to lidocaine, phenol or any other ingredients.
- If irritation or sensitivity occurs, stop use immediately.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Possible Side Effects
- Generally well tolerated when used as directed.
- Rarely, local skin irritation or allergic reactions (such as redness, itching or rash) may occur.
If severe irritation or an allergic reaction develops, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
Storage
- Store below 25°C.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the tube or carton.
