Hycosan Plus Eye Drops - 7.5ml

Hycosan Plus Eye Drops 7.5ml are a sterile, preservative-free and phosphate-free lubricating solution for ocular use, formulated to provide soothing hydration and support healing of a damaged eye surface.

Designed for people with dry eye disease and related symptoms such as redness, itching, burning, foreign-body sensation and tired eyes, Hycosan Plus helps restore moisture and comfort when tear production is reduced or the tear film is disrupted (for example in dry or air-conditioned environments, after medical treatment, or with age).

Hycosan Plus combines:

• Hyaluronic acid 0.1% to form an even, long-lasting lubricating film on the eye surface, helping prolong moisturising effects.
• Dexpanthenol 2% (pro-vitamin B5) to support regeneration and wound healing of the corneal and conjunctival surface, helpful after surgery or surface irritation.

For use in the eyes only.

How often

• Generally, instil 1 drop into each eye, 3 times a day.
• If you need to use it more frequently, or if symptoms persist for more than 1 week, seek advice from an optometrist/eye doctor or pharmacist.

How to apply (COMOD® bottle)

1. Remove the cap (pull away the bottle from the cap with a rotary movement).
2. Before first use: turn the bottle tip down and press the base repeatedly until the first drop appears (primes the bottle).
3. Hold the bottle upside down and avoid any contact between the bottle tip and the eye/skin.
4. Tilt head back slightly, pull down the lower eyelid, then press the base vigorously and quickly to release one drop.
5. Close the eye gently to allow the drop to spread evenly.
6. Replace the cap immediately after use and ensure the dropper tip is dry.

Contact lenses

• Hycosan Plus may be used while wearing contact lenses. After inserting lenses, it is recommended to wait about 30 minutes before applying the drops (to reduce the chance of intolerance reactions related to lens care products).

Using with other eye products

• Leave at least 30 minutes between other eye drops and Hycosan Plus, and use Hycosan Plus last. Eye ointments should be used after Hycosan Plus. 

Composition (per 1 ml):

• Hyaluronic acid 0.1%
• Dexpanthenol 2%
• Citric acid (anhydrous)
• Sodium citrate
• Water for injections

Do not use

• If you are hypersensitive/allergic to any ingredient.
• If any part of the protective seal on the carton is broken or damaged before first use.

Possible side effects

• In very rare cases: hypersensitivity, burning, excessive tearing, pain, foreign-body sensation, or other temporary local irritation. Stop use if this happens and seek advice.
• Temporary blurred vision may occur after use due to the viscosity of the solution; in very rare cases, temporary headache has been reported in sensitive patients. Wait until vision clears before driving or using machinery.

Important warnings

• Avoid touching the bottle tip to the eye, eyelids, skin, fingers or surfaces (reduces contamination risk).
• This product is for single patient use. Do not share, even if symptoms are similar.
• If you do not feel better or feel worse after several days, speak to a pharmacist/optometrist/GP.

Storage / in-use life

• Do not store above 25°C.
• Can be used for 6 months after opening (then discard any remaining solution).
• Keep out of the reach of children.
