Hylo-Forte 0.2% Preservative & Phosphate Free Eye Drops - 10ml

HYLO-FORTE 0.2% Preservative & Phosphate Free Eye Drops (10ml) are a sterile ocular lubricant for the intensive, therapeutic moisturising and lubrication of the eye surface in more severe and persistent dry eye sensation, and can also be used to support lubrication after surgical interventions on the eye.

The drops contain sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid salt), a substance naturally found in the body. It forms a stable, long-lasting lubricating and moisturising film on the eye surface, helping protect the cornea and conjunctiva and reducing discomfort such as dryness and irritation.

For use in the eyes only.

Dose

• Generally, instil 1 drop into each eye 3 times a day.
• If required, it can be used more frequently. If you need to use it more than 10 times per day, or if symptoms persist, seek advice from your optometrist/ophthalmologist or pharmacist.

How to apply (COMOD® bottle)

1. Remove the cap.
2. Before first use only: hold the bottle tip down and press the base repeatedly until the first drop appears.
3. Hold the bottle upside down with thumb on the shoulder and fingers on the base.
4. Tilt your head back slightly, pull down the lower eyelid, and press the base firmly and quickly to release one drop. Avoid touching the tip to the eye/skin.
5. Close the eye gently to allow the drop to spread evenly. Replace the cap immediately and keep the dropper tip dry.

Using with other eye products

• Leave at least 30 minutes between different eye drops and use HYLO-FORTE last. Eye ointments should be used after HYLO-FORTE.

Contact lenses

• May be used with contact lenses (some temporary smearing may occur and clears after blinking). After inserting lenses, wait about 30 minutes before applying the drops.

In-use life

• Can be used for 6 months after first opening. 

Each 1 ml contains: 2 mg sodium hyaluronate (0.2%).

Other ingredients (excipients): citric acid anhydrous, sodium citrate, sorbitol, water for injections.

Do not use

• If any part of the protective seal on the carton is broken or damaged before first use.
• If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any ingredient.

Possible side effects

• Very rarely: hypersensitivity, burning, excessive tearing, pain, foreign-body sensation, or other temporary local irritation. These usually stop when the product is discontinued.
• Temporary blurred vision may occur after use due to the viscosity; very rarely, temporary headache in sensitive patients.

Hygiene and safe use

• Avoid contact between the bottle tip and the eye/skin to reduce contamination risk.
• Single patient use: each bottle should be used only by the same person.
• If you do not feel better or feel worse after several days, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

• Do not store above 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
