Otex Ear Drops - 8ml

Otex® Ear Drops are a clinically proven earwax removal treatment designed to soften, break down and disperse hardened or impacted earwax. The formulation releases active oxygen, which penetrates compacted wax, helping it loosen and clear naturally from the ear.

Otex is suitable for people experiencing symptoms of earwax build-up such as blocked ears, reduced hearing, pressure or discomfort. When used as directed, it provides an effective alternative to syringing or manual removal in appropriate cases.

Directions for use

• Tilt the head and place 2–3 drops into the affected ear.
• Gently massage the area around the ear opening.
• Leave the drops in the ear for 3–5 minutes.
• Wipe away any excess liquid.
• Repeat in the other ear if required.

Frequency

• Use once or twice daily for up to 5 days.

Important advice

• A fizzing or crackling sound may be heard – this is normal and indicates the drops are working.
• If symptoms persist after 5 days, consult a pharmacist, GP or audiologist.

Active ingredient:

• Urea hydrogen peroxide (equivalent to hydrogen peroxide)

Other ingredients include:

Glycerol, 8-hydroxyquinoline sulphate.

Warnings & Precautions

• For use in the ear only.
• Do not use if you:
• Have ear pain, discharge or infection
• Have a perforated eardrum
• Have recently had ear surgery, unless advised by a healthcare professional
• Not recommended for children under 12 years without medical advice.

Possible Side Effects

• Temporary fizzing or bubbling sensation
• Mild ear irritation or discomfort (usually short-lived)

Stop using and seek medical advice if pain, dizziness, rash or persistent irritation occurs.
