QV Bath Oil - 500ml

QV Bath Oil – 500 ml is a gentle, pH-balanced emollient bath additive from QV / Ego Pharmaceuticals designed for dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin. Its clear, non-greasy formulation disperses easily in water and helps to hydrate the whole body while cleansing, leaving the skin soft, supple and comfortable without stripping natural oils. This fragrance-free, colour-free and lanolin-free bath oil is suitable for infants, children, adults and the elderly, making it ideal for family skincare routines. QV Bath Oil can help support management of symptoms associated with eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, xerosis and other dry skin conditions by helping to reduce moisture loss and relieve itch and tightness commonly experienced in dry skin flare-ups.

Directions for Use

• For external use only.
• Bath: Add 10 ml (approx. two capfuls) to a warm bath for adults or 5 ml to a baby’s bath. Soak for 5–10 minutes, then pat skin dry with a soft towel (do not rub).
• Shower: Apply a small amount to wet skin, gently massage in, leave for a few minutes and briefly rinse, then pat dry.
• The oil can also be massaged directly onto the skin if preferred.
• Use as often as required to maintain hydration, particularly after washing or during flare-ups.

Tips

• For best results, avoid using soap on affected dry skin areas as this may further irritate sensitive skin.

Key Emollient Components

• Paraffinum Liquidum (Light Liquid Paraffin) – occlusive emollient that helps reduce loss of moisture from the skin.
• Laureth-3 – gentle emulsifier aiding dispersion in water.
• Isopropyl Myristate – emollient that helps soften and smooth skin.

Formulation Features

• Free from fragrance, colour, lanolin and propylene glycol, making it suitable for sensitive and irritable skin types. 

Important Safety Information

• For external use only. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Do not apply to broken skin, open wounds or severe infections unless directed by a clinician.
• May make surfaces slippery. Take care when getting in and out of the bath or shower to avoid slips or falls.
• If you are sensitive or allergic to any ingredient, discontinue use and consult a pharmacist.

Paraffin Flammability Warning

• This product contains paraffin, which can absorb into clothing and bedding, increasing the risk of fire near naked flames, cigarettes or other heat sources. Change clothing and bedding regularly and wash at high temperature to reduce build-up risk.

Possible Side Effects

• Mild local reactions such as itching, redness or irritation may occur rarely. If symptoms persist, stop use and seek advice from a pharmacist or GP.

Pregnancy & Breast-Feeding

• QV Bath Oil can be used during pregnancy and while breast-feeding when used as directed. If applying near the nipple area before feeding, wipe away excess product.

• Store below 30 °C in a cool, dry place.
